The state/territory nomination program runs from 01 July - 30 June each year.
Australia's state and territory governments select candidates in skilled occupations where the demand is greatest and will consider multiple factors such as the total number of years of skilled employment, English language proficiency, qualifications, age and the total points scored. Places are competitive and those with the greatest number of points will stand a better chance of being nominated. Applicants currently residing in the nominating state or territory may also receive priority over offshore applicants.
