Hon. Ron Davies AM JP Former Agent General for Western Australia

"I held the position of Agent General for Western Australia in London from 1986 – 1990.

During this time, Grahame Igglesden was an important member of the establishment working in the areas of investment and business migration.

The Australian Government’s Business Migration Programme was instigated during this time and Grahame was given the responsibility of managing it for our state. In this he was outstandingly successful showing imitative and drive in sourcing migrants and encouraging them to settle in Western Australia. The result was that for the time I was in London, more business migrants went to Western Australia than any other state. It was interesting and flattering that several other state offices adopted some of the procedures Grahame started.

Grahame was an extremely reliable and dedicated officer and I had no reason to doubt his honesty, ability, knowledge and integrity.

Hon Ron Davies – Agent General for Western Australia, London – dated 22/04/1997
