Business Innovation and Investment (provisional) visa (subclass 188)

The Business Innovation and Investment (Provisional) visa (subclass 188) is for applicants with business and/or investment skills who have a demonstrated a successful business/investment history. You must be nominated by a state or territory government before applying for this visa. The states and territories all have individual criteria including specific initiatives aimed to encourage applicants to set up businesses in regional, rural or low growth areas of Australia to help in the economic development of their regions. Most business innovation and investment migrants enter Australia on a provisional visa (subclass 188) for a minimum of four years and after satisfactory evidence of a specified level of business or investment activity can apply for permanent residence (subclass 888).
